"The Death of the Ball Turret Gunner"- I thought this poem was about a soldier over seas who is sleeping like he did when he was in his mother's womb. The second line I think means that he was sleeping in animal fur that was wet from rain. Sleeping in the fur gave the soldier the idea about sleeping like he did when he was in his mother's womb. From this sleep he was awaken by the enemy aircraft fire and a gunner.
Turning out with a focus on historicism:
Historicism examines a particular historical moment present in the text.
When examining Historic events there may be inaccuracies so you have to research the information from when the event happened and todays information on the event.
